More than the number on the tag

I am Ashley, Founder and Chief Creative of Olive Branch Road. Thank-you for being here.
I was in a wholesale account today and overheard a conversation I deeply relate to, especially in this postpartum body. There was a beautiful lady shopping for jeans, and she was hung up on the number on the tag. What the incredible sales associate helped her see is that jeans are so much more than an number. I was trained as a little girl to squeeze into the tightest fit I could and that a lower number on my jeans could make me somehow look better or feel more confident. It seems there's a shift among our generation of women shopping. Now we can look to the number as a guide yet choose the piece that actually makes us feel the most confident in our own bodies, and I hope it's something that we can pass along.
My husband told me story of a friend who was talking about the number on a garment recently on Instagram, and he genuinely thought she meant the price and not the size. It's different for men it seems.
I have some OBR jeans that are 28s and others that are 30s because I liked the way they wear and how the wash feels. It's a learning curve for sure, and I am there with you as you frantically decide in the dressing room, on your phone or computer, or in the mirror of your own home how to move forward and what to order. I hope our easy return process helps you shop online with ease and comfort not just based on the number on the size tag but in how you want to live your life in denim and the memories you want to make.
Use our size guide featured on each piece truly as that--a guide--but choose the fit that's right for your body. Who asks about the number on the tag anyway?
Xxx,
Ashley
